Gyula Castle
In 1403, King Zsigmond granted the Gyula manor to the Macsó ban János Maróti. With the extinction of the Maróti family, the territory became the property of king, Mátyás Hunyadi, who donated it to his son, János Corvin. After him, Beatrix Frangepán owned the castle and the estate, wife of János Corvin, daughter-in-law of King Matthias.
