Gyula Palinka festival
Gyula is the capital of pálinka, as the city has hosted the festival for more than 20 years. During the event, the noble hungaricum, pálinka, is the center of attention, which is the national pride of Hungarians. Hungarian gastronomy cannot be imagined without this hungaricum. Every year, the 3-day event welcomes visitors with a number of programs.

Csaba sausage festival
At the country's largest gastro-house party, hundreds of teams knead the sausage every year. The good atmosphere is provided by folk music, folk dance and entertaining music performers. Gyula Castle Days
Every year, the Gyula Végvári Days await those interested with exciting programs in the beautiful, historic castle of Gyula and its surroundings. The event relives the atmosphere of Gyula, the battles of the Turkish era, as well as the everyday life of the people living at that medieval time.

Castle Theatre
The Gyula Castle Theater was created in 1963 by István Miszlay, the only intact plain brick castle in Central Europe, within the walls of the Gyula Castle. Theater lovers can watch the outdoor performances of the theater during the summer season, between June and August, but the company welcomes its guests with chamber performances during the year as well.
